Hey everyone! Today I am gonna be reviewing my favourite body lotions of all times - The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Energising Gel-Lotion. And as the name suggests, it is actually a 'Gel-Lotion'. It is a lightweight body lotion with an amazing soothing fragrance of grapefruit to it. Trust me, the fragrance is so fresh and energising, I am in love with it. In fact, I love the fragrance so much that when I had to buy a hand cream, I bought the Innisfree Hand Cream also in the *grapefruit* variant and i love it's fragrance. But the sad part about this body lotion is that the fragrance does not last long.
Now coming to the details :
Packaging
It comes in a plastic bottle with a pump dispenser which pumps out just the right amount of product required to apply on one hand/leg. The pump dispenser also has a twist-to-lock mechanism which locks the pump and no product can be dispensed which is very travel-friendly.There was also a cap provided which covers the pump and keeps the product hygienic but I lost it.
Use
Pump the required amount and apply generously on body. Do not apply this on your face. (I actually didn't know that until now, and I did apply it on my face once when I had got it just to try it lol). The lotion is pink in colour. When you massage it into the skin, it turns into a transparent gel and gets so easily absorbed into the skin, making the skin soft and you don't even realise you had a body lotion on. That's why I love this lotion for summers, it gets absorbed super-quick.
Texture & Consistency
It is very light and soft in texture. It is not as thick as a gel is, and not as runny in consistency as a lotion is. It is somewhat in-between the two.
